The research group of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ISA) of the Department of Civil Engineering and Computer Science Engineering of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” is formed by researchers who operate both on the didactic side, holding courses in different fields and on the scientific research side with results recognized on the national and international levels.
The main research topics are:
- CO2 capture, storage and utilization;
- Remediation and management of contaminated sites and Brownfields;
- Valorisation of industrial residues;
- Treatment and management of solid waste;
- Life Cycle Assessment (LCA);
- Water treatment.
The Laboratory of Environmental Engineering, the operating structure of the research group is equipped with up-to-date instrumentation, which allows a wide range of chemical, physical and environmental analyses and the carrying out of feasibility studies for the development of treatment processes applicable to various environmental matrixes. The permanent staff belongs to the National Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (ANDIS) and to the Italian group of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering (GITISA). |
